Official opening of new Van der Ende Group premises

For this special occasion, part of the production hall was transformed into a welcoming reception area, offering all imaginable facilities. In the morning, around 350 guests, members of staff and their families listened to an inspiring address given by the Managing Director, Lex van der Ende. The morning programme also included a showing of the dynamic new company video, and everyone was greatly entertained by the “Van der Ende Conference” presented by the humorist Sjaak Bral. The official part concluded with a heartfelt toast and a delightful lunch.

Van der Ende Groep

Van der Ende Groep has always had an excellent reputation within horticulture. But in recent years it has also grown rapidly outside this sector, and in a relatively short time has built high name recognition. Both nationally and internationally. “Our unique ‘one-stop-shop’ concept makes us difficult to compare with others in our field. All things considered, we set the standard in the segments where we operate. And that’s actually what we want to do,” says Lex van der Ende, Managing Director.

Open Day

The Open Day began at 1.15 p.m. Specially for this part of the official opening, a blue carpet had been rolled out through the whole building, marking the route via which all the visitors could learn about everything that Van der Ende Group has to offer. Which is really quite a lot. Detailed information was given about all four of the divisions: horticulture, construction, industry and government. With more than 25 stands, where various suppliers and partners displayed their specific products to the public, this could best be described as a mini trade fair. Alongside these more technical stands, Van der Ende Group also showed its socially engaged aspect: a prominent place along the route was held by the charities Stichting ALS Nederland and Stichting De Zaaier. The visitors were also informed about the Van der Ende job market. A job opportunities stand, designed specifically for this occasion, gave information to all interested parties about present and future vacancies. The younger visitors were not forgotten either. In a specially equipped “engineering area”, they were given the chance to build pumps themselves, with professional supervision. All under the motto: “Young people are the future”. And for the younger ones, there were bouncy castles, magicians, popcorn stands and face-painting: everything possible to make sure the kids had a great time. Needless to say, refreshments were also provided. During the afternoon, all the guests could enjoy delicious snacks and drinks. With more than 2.000 satisfied visitors, the Open Day can certainly be called a resounding success.

The total amount raised for Stichting ALS Nederland and Stichting de Zaaier was € 14.457,91, which was supplemented by the company to make a grand total of €17.500.

To thank them for all their extra efforts during the renovation and relocation, this festive day concluded with a special private party for all the staff and their partners.
