ESP electrostatic air filter installation
for effective and efficient filtration of oil mist, smoke and plasticiser fumes
The ESP electrostatic filter is the solution for machines where oil mist and smoke are released.
Suitable for filtration of oil mist and smoke
No filter consumption; filters are reused after cleaning
Low energy consumption
More information
An electrostatic filter operates without a filter medium, such as paper, cloth, or filter cartridges. The filter element of the ESP electrostatic filter consists of an aluminum frame with 60 vertically placed aluminum plates, the so-called collection cell. These collection cells never need to be replaced, are not subject to wear, and only need to be cleaned at regular intervals. To filter the contaminants, the particles must first be made static. This occurs in the ionizer, a frame in which 9 tungsten wires are stretched. The tungsten wires are under a high voltage of 11,000 volts, which is harmless to humans. By allowing the contaminants to flow along these charged wires, all particles are statically charged. In the collection cell, which is placed directly behind the ionizer, the static particles are deposited. In wet applications, the mist, reformed into droplets, can drip off, making the installation highly self-cleaning.
