The chip centrifuge is used in emulsion and oil applications for drying short and medium-length metal chips. The shape of the centrifuge means it can be placed directly underneath the machine tool’s chip conveyor. When combined with a conveyor, tipper system and chip shredder, it can also be used as a fully automatic chip centrifuge.

If chips have acquired a thick coating of oil or emulsion, it’s worthwhile to dry them in a centrifuge. This increases the waste value of the dry chips, and the oil and emulsion are also recovered. Based on the quantity of chips to be processed, a centrifuge of the right capacity can be selected. The chip centrifuge is available as a manual variant and for automatic chip treatment.
