Multi-stage pumps
A multi-stage pump is a centrifugal pump with multiple impellers that have the effect of increasing pressure. This is a variation on the single-stage or single-impeller centrifugal pump. A multi-stage pump is intended mainly for situations where fluid must be pumped at high pressure through a system, and across large distances.
